"Hawaii is a lush tropical paradise of endless white, black or green sand beaches, active volcanoes and crystal blue waters. I love to travel from island to island uncovering the hidden, beautiful places that visitors cannot find in a travel guides."

Dean Karamehmedovic, also affectionately known as Aloha Dean, is a Slovenian who moved to Canada in 1995 with his wife and son. in June 1997 he purchased the "Amadeus Café" in downtown Halifax. It quickly became a trendy place with “Euro-Look” with a lot of very interesting people as clientele. 

But since he always wanted to live in the tropics, especially after experiencing Canadian winters, in 2000 Dean sold the business and the whole family moved to Hawaii calling Honolulu home.

Dean runs VTHawaii.com, as a one-man operation and continues to successfully do so since being established in January 2003 . The web site won the Aloha Award and is today the most extensive VR panorama resource about Hawaii. Often he can be found around the north american continent on shooting assignments for the hospitality industry. Dean is also a PADI Dive Master and expert underwater photographer.
